Getting Sexy with Food
After dating for a while the bedroom scene can get somewhat boring. One of the more popular ways to spice it up without doing anything too crazy or extreme is to add some food into foreplay. We’re not talking about full blown sloshing (an actual food fetish) but more of doing something that’s out of the norm but still pleasant for both of you. Here are some dos and don’ts for bringing food into the bedroom.
Dos: Preparation
Wash your body. It’s very important that you and your partner both take showers before any food play is introduced. If possible wash your sheets as well. This can be a sexy step (the body washing, not the sheet washing) beforehand as you and your partner can take turns scrubbing each other from top to bottom in a candle-lit, romantic environment. Obviously you wouldn’t eat food off of a dirty plate just as you wouldn’t eat it off of a dirty woman.
Don’ts: Preparation
Don’t rush into the supermarket after work to pick up some whipped cream for your big night in and start slathering it on her when you get home. It’s dirty and doesn’t set up the scene very well. This is your first time doing this sort of thing and you want to make sure that you do it the right way. Mess up the first time and it might be your last.
Dos: Foods to Try
The most typically used food for sex use is whipped cream. Get it in the spraying can, otherwise dishing out dollops of cream on your girl will just make everyone involved laugh. Spraying it is easy to aim and dish out the right amount. It’s easy to lick off as it leaves little trace of stickiness. However, you will look a bit silly if you get it all over your face. Another food to try is edible body chocolate. It’s just chocolate that’s been formulated to be easy to spread on your partner and licked off. Grab some maraschino cherries, cut them in half, and make a sundae on your girl’s trim. That’ll be one dessert you’ll be dying to eat.
Don’ts: Foods to Avoid
As tempting as it may be, ice cream toppings do not make a good bedroom toy. Let’s start with chocolate syrup. It’s basically the same as body chocolate, right? Not even. Chocolate syrup has extra additives like high fructose corn syrup which makes it extremely sticky and so difficult to actually lick off of her body. Also, this is just an observation, but using chocolate syrup (or body chocolate, for that matter) looks like crap smeared all over each other. There’s just nothing sexy about that. Other foods you might be tempted to drizzle but would be a bad idea for the same sticky reason are: caramel, honey, maple syrup, and other flavored syrups such as cherry or blueberry.
After you get into the idea of bringing food into the bedroom and have a few ideas of what works for you would be the perfect time to start experimenting. You’ll already know the two of you like it and if there’s some hilarious mishap now it won’t throw everything off.
