Going out to the bar to find beautiful women might seem like it doesn’t require any planning, but any guy knows that he should have the basics on him at all times. It’s better to be safe than sorry, and you’d better be prepared for anything when you go out. This doesn’t mean that you have to carry a bag around with you whenever you leave the house, but you should always have the essentials. Don’t overstock, but make sure that these three handy items never go out of stock. These can all fit in your pockets, so you have no excuse not to carry them.

Cologne

Even if you leave the house with a fresh layer of cologne on, bring some with you just in case. A busy night of dancing and drinking will make you sweat like crazy, and you can’t afford to smell bad when you’re trying to get lucky. Women don’t go for men who reek of body odor, so touching yourself up every once in a while in the bathroom will do you good. Carry a cheap spray like Axe or Old Spice so if you lose it, it’s not a big deal. Besides, women love the smell of it. Steer clear of losing women due to your smell by having a small can of this in your pocket at all times.

Condoms

Sometimes things can get hot and heavy faster than you imagined, and you might not even have time to make it back home before you two get going. For these suddenly intimate moments, you should always be carrying condoms. You can’t trust women to have these items for you, and you should never operate under the assumption that she’s on birth control. Even if she says she’s on the pill, there’s no excuse to not use a condom. Not only is it a great contraceptive, it also helps to shield you against STD’s, which will stay with you way longer than the quick and dirty bar hookup. Make sure that your condoms are never expired, or else they’re completely ineffective. They’re more prone to ripping and therefore should be tossed.

Credit Cards

Obviously, if you’re going to be buying drinks, you need your card. An even better idea is to carry multiple cards so that you’re prepared for anything. Whether you need more money to buy drinks for the ladies or you need to pay for a ride home, it’s a good idea to have multiple ways to pay. It also is a total lifesaver if you lose one card, because at least you’ll have another to help you get home so that you aren’t stranded at the bar. Obviously that’s a worst-case scenario, but it’s better to be prepared for the worst. In all honesty, you’re much more likely to find it handy to carry multiple cards so you can buy even more drinks. Just don’t open a tab up on multiple cards or else you’ll end up broke for sure at the end of the night.
